    "siteSpecificInfo":  "<ul>\n\t<li>These maps were developed in 2013 and are based on conditions at that time.  The accuracy of the maps may be reduced if natural or man-made changes occur to the river channel or flood plain in post-2013 conditions.  Examples of these changes include the development, modification or removal of flood protection systems such as levees or floodwalls, or the development, modification or removal of bridges and dams.</li>\n\t<li>These maps assume that all permanent flood protection measures such as levees or floodwalls in place when the maps were developed remain intact.  These maps will NOT show inundation in response to the failure of these protection measures such as breaching.</li>\n\t<li>These maps assume that no activities occur to temporarily change flood protection.  Examples of these activities include sandbagging, erection of HESCO flood barriers or the intentional breaching of levees or floodwalls.  The actual inundation in response to these activities may be more or less than what is indicated by the maps.</li>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>As an example, in the 2008 flood the levee protecting downtown Cedar Falls was not overtopped even though at that time the top of the levee was 102 ft and the current maps show it overtopping because the river crested at 102.1 ft.  The reason for this discrepancy is that the levee was sandbagged to prevent overtopping.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>In terms of the smaller, local tributary streams, these maps only depict the impacts of Cedar River backwater on them.  The maps do not make any assumptions on the flow conditions on the smaller, local tributaries.  Mapping on the smaller, local tributaries may not represent actual conditions during periods of high flows on them.</li>\n\t<li>These NWPS flood inundation maps--when compared to the regulatory FEMA DFIRM mapping--will depict different flooding scenarios.  The differences occur because NWPS and FEMA maps have been designed for different purposes and were developed based on different assumptions.</li>\n\t<li>For any questions or concerns contact your local NWS office.</li>\n</ul>\n",
